The action sequences are pretty good too, with the Doctor and co being attacked by robots. I like the reveal that it’s the actual planet that’s trying to attack them. I like the tense nature of the story, with the Doctor temporarily out of action as well as the eery threat attacking them.

We get some good ideas in this story like the device that unlocks more rooms in the Tardis, but I would’ve liked the story to have explored it more. However, I do think this plot has been done way too often. I like the mystery aspect of the plot with the Doctor and co landing in a mining facility where the workers are being picked off. The pacing feels really slow in this story, with each part lacking in action for the most part in favour of a lot of dialogue and exposition. The way this story is structured doesn’t really make sense, why have it both narrated and fully acted, there’s no need for it. This is a pretty interesting and entertaining story. The story sees the Doctor and co land on a mining facility where it seems the planet is fighting back. To conclude, this story is a decent yet simple story with underwhelming villains but good side characters. I like how it explores his dynamic with the people of Italy, with him being an outcast for his scientific views. I like his relationship with the Doctor but I would’ve liked to have known more about it but I like how fun they are together. I like Galileo’s characterisation with him recently becoming blind, showing him how confident he is despite it allowing him to be more complex and likable. I like how it explores her dealing with the outcome of her going on the run but I think the story forgets about this plot quite quickly. I like how this story shows Helen’s excitement to her first adventure in the Tardis but I think the story could’ve done more with it. I do think they don’t get the best characterisation as they only serve a simple purpose which is to be a threat to the Doctor. I also like their creepy designs looking like corpses and having a pretty unique look as well as their hunting dog creatures. I think this idea is really entertaining and I’m surprised that Doctor Who hasn’t really covered this before. I like the idea behind the aliens Cleaver and Fortuna, with them being alien hunters hired by the Eleven to find the Doctor. I like the twists of this story with the aliens being revealed to be working with the Eleven and also posing as people such as Galileo’s dead daughter. I like the eery build up to the main story with the Doctor and co trying to find Galileo.

The opening adds some good creepiness too with a young man being hunted by an alien.

I like the creepy atmosphere of the story with it being set in an eery monastery. This is a pretty good story however, I think the overall plot of this story has been the weakest so far of Doom Coalition 1, it’s the most simple story and doesn’t really explore anything unique. The story sees the Doctor reunite with Galileo only to find a pair of dangerous aliens looking for someone. Doctor Who- Doom Coalition- The Galileo Trap
